We’re moving!
Yep, that’s right – the 2020 Devonport Motor Show is moving…but only down the road!
With Devonport’s Living Centre Project now in full swing, we are moving our show to the Northern end of Victoria Parade – stretching from the Vietnam Veterans memorial carpark, and west along the foreshore to Fenton Street.
Our show will also extend to the grassed area in front of the Bass Strait Maritime Centre.

Shane’s 1971 XY Falcon his pride and joy!
Devonport’s Shane Ploughman was still at school when he bought his 1971 XY Falcon 500 – he was only 16!
He’s spent the past 14 years restoring it – and says it’s better than factory-quality now.
His ultra white beauty doesn’t hit the road – Shane says he loves her too much for that! Shane is only the second owner, and she’s only ever done 30,000 miles all up.
Shane says his love for the XY Falcon came from his late Dad, who had one the same.

New Pizza Oven for East Devonport Child and Family Centre!
Rotary Club of Devonport North President Phil Gregory presented
a $1000 cheque to the East Devonport Child and Family Centre earlier this month, as part of the Devonport Motor Show’s ongoing commitment to local charities.
The funds will go towards a new pizza oven and paved around for families who use the centre.

We were overwhelmed by responses on our facebook page for ideas on how to make our show bigger and better into the future. Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to talk to us.
Feedback included:
- Including a dyno run
- More motorbike entries
- More truck entries
- More vehicle-related stalls
We will take all these ideas back to our committee, as we gear up for the 2020 show!
Entry fee update!
From 2020 onwards, we are offering more discounts on entry fees – keeping in mind that this fee goes directly to charity!
Children under 16: Free
Student cardholders: Free
Adult ticket prices: Remain at $15.
Ours is the biggest motor show in Tasmania – you won’t see a better range of vehicles anywhere else in the State! AND – you enter the event knowing that your fee is going directly towards improving the lives of others – so well done you!
2021 show entrant tags – Should we go electronic?
The Devonport Motor Show committee is currently considering going electronic for entry tags from the 2021 show.
This would mean rather than receiving a physical tag in the mail (as per above photo) to display on your windscreen, you would instead receive an electronic coupon via email to print, complete and display on your car.
But we want to hear from you! If you are a past entrant – how would you feel about this new process? Have you been a collector of tags in previous years? Would you prefer to continue with this method? Send us a message through our website or through our facebook page and let us know what you think!
Super Hubert to fly into 2020 show!
We are very excited to announce that the outrageous children’s entertainer Super Hubert will join us for the 2020 Devonport Motor Show.
Super Hubert is a professional magician, outrageous comedian, pyrotechnic whiz kid, and dare devil stuntman.
He also happens to be one of the kindest people you will ever meet!
